Volleyball Coming to Upper McIntyre Park!

Many of you have already heard the exciting news! On May 27, Kincardine Council accepted a generous donation from Bruce Power and, with support from Jacksons Construction, approved the INPA’s recommendation to bring a brand-new volleyball court to Upper McIntyre Park.

This project has now been posted on the Municipality of Kincardine website, along with background information and a short Q&A section.

The INPA is currently planning an official opening event for the new court and will be sharing an invitation with the community in the near future.

In the meantime, they are looking to hear from residents who are interested in the project.

An overwhelming number of Inverhuron households responded to the 2023 community survey, with volleyball identified as one of the top recreational interests. The INPA is now looking to connect with community members who would like to see this project succeed and help create opportunities for residents of all ages to enjoy the new facility.

If you are interested, please send your name and email address before June 30 to:

The INPA also welcomes volunteers and anyone interested in becoming involved in future community initiatives.

“A community that invests in itself is impressive. The Upper Park is an introduction to the community, and first impressions have a powerful effect on future opinions of Inverhuron for both recreation and tourism. Just as importantly, a development of this kind is fundamental to a sustained community development process, encouraging continued and future securement of resources. Investment that has impact.” — Inverhuron Resident
